VVS Laxman made another impactful knock against Australia during the famous win over Australia in the 2nd test match played at Adelaide Oval from 12th – 16th December 2003. After the hosts Australia posted a massive total of 556 runs in the first innings, VVS Laxman along with Rahul Dravid smashed Australian bowling attack with some attractive stroke play.
VVS Laxman made 148 off 282 balls with 18 fours. He batted for 356 minutes at the crease and added 303 runs for the 5th wicket with Rahul Dravid.
It ensured that India scored 523 runs in the first innings. Ajit Agarkar magical spell in 2nd innings was enough to bowl out Australia for 196 runs. Chasing 233 runs to win, VVS Laxman made 32 runs in 2nd innings. India won that match by 4 wickets.
