Prior to their impending Test series against Bangladesh, Babar Azam shared lively moments with his Pakistan friends during a recent practice session. A two-match Test series will be played between the two countries. Rawalpindi (August 21-25) and Karachi (August 30 – September 3) are the venues for these matches.
At this time, Pakistani athletes are preparing for the series in order to bring themselves back to red-ball style of cricket just because there are significant World Test Championship (WTC) points at stake. Senior player Babar Azam was observed having some joy amidst the rigorous coaching period.
A video was posted on Instagram page called eventsandhappenings_sport to show a glimpse of it to the fans. In this one Babar could be seen jokingly addressing some of his teammates while they shared a moment of joyfulness.

“He should set aside thoughts of captaincy and concentrate solely on scoring runs” – Basat Ali on Babar Azam
Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali recently urged Babar Azam to concentrate on scoring a heap of runs in the upcoming Test season as he does not have captaincy pressure. Ali also felt Babar could overtake his competitors in the coming months with consistent batting performances. Speaking in a video on his YouTube channel, Basit Ali said:
“Babar Azam will score five centuries in the coming five months. Babar has the best chance to leave the top batters behind, whether it is Kane Williamson or Joe Root. It is a very easy chance.”
”However, now that the pressure of captaincy is off from him, he should forget about the captaincy. He should remove the thought of captaincy from his mind and just focus on scoring runs.”
Ali also provided Babar with technical advice to elevate his game. He went on to say:
“He should start skipping ropes. I am giving him this advice which was given to me by Asian Bradman, Zaheer Abbas.”
”It helps in feet movement. Also, Babar needs to shorten his stance by a few inches. If he does these things, he will leave the top batters behind in five months. If you want to see someone’s stance, look at Virat Kohli. Both of them have the same height.”
