Star India batter Virat Kohli has reportedly been seen in Alibaug with his wife, Anushka Sharma. And, as Per reports, Virat Kohli expressed his desire to create a cricket pitch at his farmhouse. However, Virat Kohli has addressed the rumours surrounding his intention to construct a cricket pitch at his Alibaug farmhouse. This clarification was provided by the renowned cricketer on Tuesday as well.
Virat and his actress-wife Anushka Sharma, notable figures in the entertainment industry, are said to have acquired an eight-acre property in Zirad village. Following his break during the T20I series against the West Indies, former Indian captain Kohli paid a recent visit to the building site in Maharashtra.
A reputable news outlet reported that the power couple, Virat and Anushka, had plans to build a cricket pitch at their luxurious Alibaug farmhouse. Nevertheless, Kohli has dispelled these claims, responding on social media to label the information as false.
Via an Instagram post on Tuesday, Kohli addressed the situation, categorizing the reports as inaccurate. “Bachpan se jo akhbaar Padha hai, wo bhi fake news chaapne lage ab”
Kohli conveyed his message on Instagram Stories. Kohli’s response came in light of a media outlet’s assertion that the former Indian captain had a strong interest in including a cricket pitch within his extravagant farmhouse. Kohli, who boasts an extensive Instagram following of more than 255 million users on the photo and video-sharing platform, provided his response.
Last year, as per a previous report, Kohli acquired a second property in Alibaug. The seasoned Indian team batter paid a stamp duty of INR 36 lakh for the transaction involving his 2,000 sq ft villa, which amounted to INR 6 crore. During Kohli’s absence due to international commitments in Australia, his brother Vikas Kohli completed the registration formalities at the Alibaug sub-registrar office.
In response to reports suggesting Kohli’s Instagram promotional post earnings to be around INR 11 crore, the cricket star clarified, “While I appreciate all that I’ve been fortunate to receive in life, the circulating news about my social media earnings isn’t accurate.”
Kohli, aged 34, is currently preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup edition. In his recent white-ball series against the West Indies in the Caribbean, prolific run-scorer Kohli did not bat for Team India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
