BCCI announces OPPO as new Team India sponsor : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named OPPO Mobiles India Private Limited as the new sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team.
“The mobile manufacturing giant OPPO’s association with BCCI will start from April 2017 for a period of five years,” BCCI said in a statement
BCCI has signed a five-year contract with the mobile manufacturing giant which begins from April 2017. The Oppo will replace STAR India whose four-year contract with the country”s cricket governing body will run out on March 31.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce OPPO Mobiles India Private Limited as the new team sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team,” BCCI said in a statement.
Star India took over the role from Sahara India group in December 2013. Their logo was first displayed on Indian jersey in tour of NZ in January 2014.
The new rights will be for a period of five years April 2017 to March 2022.
