Ben Stokes is fine-tuning his batting skills ahead of the IPL 2021 that begins on April 9. The star all-rounder will be once again representing the Rajasthan Royals as he will be aiming to win his first IPL trophy. Recently in the ODI series against India, it seemed as if Stokes was giving a teaser to all his fans of what to expect in the upcoming IPL. In the second ODI, Stokes was only dealing in sixes as he punished the Indian bowlers to all parts and smashed gigantic sixes.

It was power-hitting at its best Stokes notched up 99 runs in just 52 balls and guided England to victory. Now Stokes means business ahead of the IPL as he returned to practice and training for Rajasthan Royals. The franchise on their official YouTube account posted an exclusive video of Stokes where he looked in supreme touch and was timing the ball perfectly.
The star all-rounder focused on depositing the ball in the stands and prepared range hitting in the nets. Stokes as usual favoured down the ground area as he smashed sixes with utmost ease. He batted for a considerable amount of time and even smashed the camera once white batting. The 2017Â IPL ‘MVP’ has had a quiet couple of seasons which is why Rajasthan Royals hasn’t been able to win consistently in the league matches

Meanwhile, apart from Stokes another England batsman that will be crucial for Rajasthan Royals is Jos Buttler. If the two international starts have a great IPL season with the bat then RR will certainly progress deep in the competition. Last year Jos Buttler batted in the middle and Stokes opened in the few match so it will be interesting to see what strategies the franchise employ in the upcoming season. Also, they will be hoping that Jofra Archer recovers from his elbow injury quickly and plays after missing the first few matches of the Rajasthan Royals.
