The Nepal Premier League (NPL), which is organized under the guidance of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), will be officially launched on November 30. The NPL will open with a mouth-watering clash between the Janakpur Bolts and Biratnagar Kings as the first match of the tournament.
The tournament will feature eight franchise teams, including Kathmandu Gurkhaz, Chitwan Rhinos, and Lumbini Lions, among others across the nation, all competing for the local title. The matches of the NPL will be broadcast live on Star Sports for fans across the globe to watch the actions.
The tournament schedule suggests a whole experience with the top four teams moving on to the playoffs. The eliminator and qualifier 1 will be played on December 18, followed by qualifier 2 on December 19, and then the final match on December 21.
Adding star value to the competition would be international cricket stars such as Shikhar Dhawan, Martin Guptill, and Ben Cutting, who have been brought in as marquee players.
