The Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 has been the talk of the town in the cricketing world in the past few days. The high-octane series is all set to get underway on February 9 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The rest three matches will take place in Delhi, Dharmashala, and Ahmedabad. The hosts have had an upper hand over Australia, winning the last three Border Gavaskars Trophy contests. They registered a historic win in the last series in Australia in 2020/21.
The build-up to the upcoming series is getting stronger with both teams starting to play mind games. Australia is in Bengaluru gearing for the series, while India has held a camp in Nagpur for its players. India and Australia have been playing Test matches against each other since 1947. However, Border Gavaskar Trophy was first held in 1996. The series is being named after two stalwarts from both nations, Sunil Gavaskars and Alan Border.
