Krishnappa Gowtham is excited to play under the leadership of the legendary MS Dhoni at Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. The all-rounder has made a shift from Rajasthan Royals to CSK after the franchise acquired him in the IPL auction for 9.25 crores. CSK spent a huge amount of money on Gowtham as he in his IPL career has shown that he can not only contribute but also win matches with both bat and ball.
Talking about his skipper MS Dhoni, Gowtham admitted that it will be a dream come true for me when he plays under him in IPL 2021. Gowtham is looking forward to the upcoming IPL 2021 and is not feeling any sort of pressure to play for the 3 times IPL champions. Krishnappa Gowtham further praised Dhoni and added that he as a captain completely knows the strength and weakness of a bowler and always knows how to get the best out of the individual.
Dream come true to player under MS Dhoni- Krishnappa Gowtham
“I don’t feel any pressure of expectations playing for a champion side like CSK. In fact, it’s a dream come true for me to be playing under Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni). Bowlers love playing under Mahi Bhai because he understands a bowler’s strengths and knows how to get the best out of him”, Gowtham told CSK’s official website.

Meanwhile, Krishnappa Gowtham well in advance with other CSK players began preparing for the upcoming IPL 2021 season. The players will now be in quarantine again before they again resume their outdoor practice for IPL 2021. This season CSK will not be playing at their beloved Chepauk stadium where the pitch has assisted Dhoni’s side over the years. However, Gowtham is unfazed by the hurdles that await him and the team.
“The CSK management understands cricket owing to its long association with the game which again reflects in its approach to players the comforting words and confidence given when things aren’t going right,” he added.
Furthermore, the Chennai Super Kings will kick off their IPL 2021 campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 10 in Mumbai.
