Former Australian speedster Brett Lee shared his opinion on the latest test match jerseys. As a part of increasing the viewership for the tests, the ICC has brought up several measures. But one of the major ones being the introduction of names and numbers on jerseys. This move hasn”t pleased a lot of fans and several former players.
The tradition has been broken for the first time since 142 years and the Ashes is the first series in this regard. Though a lot of county matches have seen these jerseys, this is the first instance in the International arena.
Speaking on the same Brett Lee tweeted, “For what it”s worth I am strongly against the player”s numbers and names appearing on the back of test cricket shirts .i think it looks ridiculous. I love the changes you”ve made in general, but on this occasion, you”ve got it wrong.”
Brett Lee said these words only a few days after his teammate Gilchrist expressed his disliking towards the same.

ICC test championship
The introduction of this test championship has captured attention in recent times. In days to come, all the teams will be sporting these jerseys. The kiwis released their latest design a few days ago for their stint against Srilankans.
Will ICC respond to the views of former players and fans? We will have to wait and see.
