“Can Get Scolded” -Indian Star’s Hilarious Reaction After Clutch Catch Off Arshdeep Singh In IND Vs SL Clash

India’s Rinku Singh had a light-hearted take on grabbing a vital catch off Arshdeep Singh’s bowling during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 encounter. He safely pouched Kusal Perera on the very first delivery of the Super Over, setting the tone for India. Arshdeep, showing great composure, conceded only two runs while striking twice in the over.

Suryakumar Yadav then wrapped things up in style, smashing the winning runs off his very first ball to seal a nail-biting win for India. Reflecting on the moment post-match, Rinku shared that he was delighted with the catch and jokingly remarked that he has never spilled a catch when fielding for Arshdeep.

“Whenever you bowl and I take your catch I feel good. I have never dropped your catch,” he said. (via Indian Cricket Team Instagram)

Joking around with Rinku’s reply, Jitesh Sharma quipped that the reason he never dropped Arshdeep’s catch was out of fear, since anything might happen once they stepped off the field. Rinku Singh, in turn, delivered a funny comeback, saying:

“Yes you can even get scolded so you have to take the catch.”

During the same chat, Rinku Singh also praised Arshdeep Singh for executing the strategies he had suggested to the pacer.

“So thanks to Rinku, he told me to stick to the plan and I kept bowling wide yorkers,” Arshdeep cheekily responded.

Arshdeep Singh Becomes First Indian Bowler To Claim 100 T20I Wickets

Arshdeep Singh has featured in just two matches during the Asia Cup 2025, stepping in whenever India have rested Jasprit Bumrah. He made his appearance against Oman in the final group-stage game, returning figures of 1/37 from four overs, claiming the wicket of Vinayak Shukla. Significantly, this wicket marked his 100th T20I scalp, making him the first Indian to reach the milestone.

Arshdeep also became the fastest Indian pacer—and the fourth fastest overall—to achieve this landmark. In 65 T20I matches so far, he has taken 101 wickets at an average of 18.76, with an economy rate of 8.37 and a strike rate of 13.4, including best bowling figures of 4/9.
