As we return to normalcy after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cricfit Academy has launched a T20 tournament – Cricfit Premier League for the budding cricketers. The competition will kickstart from January 14 and will run until January 29th at the Thakur Village Cricket Stadium in Kandivali East.
The tournament will see cricketers from four different age groups – U-12, U-14, U-16, and U-19 (girls) ply their trade for the illustrious trophy. The cricketers will be divided into 28 teams (24 for boys and four for girls). There will be two groups for each age category which each team playing a minimum of three matches.
Meanwhile, the top two teams from each group of each age category will qualify for the knock-out stage. The finals will be a 25-over game and will be played under the lights. All the matches of Cricfit Premier League will be live telecasted on social media platform – YouTube and Facebook which will be watched by cricket lovers from across the globe.
Cricfit Premier League to commence from January 14th
The matches will be played adhering to all COVID-19 rules and regulation of the Maharashtra government. Every participant will be provided with masks and sanitizers and will maintain social distance with one another in the ground.

The CPL has decided to honour and acknowledge the untiring dedication of Mumbai Cricket’s veterans. They have tied hands with letsallhelp.org to donate Rs 10000 each to some of the notable contributors of Mumbai cricket. Besides, they will also fund all the four girl’s team. Along with it, one full team of 15 players will be assisted with training for one year and will also be introduced Mumbai Cricket Association certified coaches.
The organisers of Cricfit Premier League – Cricfit Academy was founded in October 27th 2015 by Television Broadcaster & Cricket Analyst Mikkhail Vaswani. Mikkhail has been associated with Cricket since the last 15 years. Cricfit Academy aims to add more value to grassroots cricket. Since the last 5 years, the academy has prepared and churned out talents who have played for Mumbai at various age groups.
