Cricketing Fraternity React As Team India Lift The T20 World Cup 2026

Star batter Abhishek Sharma took the final wicket as India made history, beating New Zealand by 96 runs to win the T20 World Cup 2026. The final was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8.

Batting first, India scored a huge 255/5 in 20 overs. Sharma played a key role with a quick 52 off 21 balls. He also came on to bowl in the 19th over, with only one wicket left. On the last ball of that over, he dismissed Jacob Duffy to finish the match.

Duffy tried to pull a slightly short ball in the air, but Tilak Varma made an amazing catch at long-on. It looked like he might go over the boundary, but he managed to toss the ball back and complete the catch. Tilak then threw the ball up in celebration as India bowled New Zealand out for 159 runs, sealing their T20 World Cup 2026 victory.

India Make History with Stunning T20 World Cup 2026 Win

Suryakumar Yadav and the Indian team made history with their record-breaking T20 World Cup 2026 win. They became the first team ever to defend their T20 World Cup title, having won the previous edition in 2024 by beating New Zealand.

They also became the first team to win the T20 World Cup as the host nation, adding extra significance to their victory. With this win, India became the most successful team in T20 World Cup history, winning the title three times. MS Dhoni led India to their first-ever title in 2007, and Rohit Sharma guided them to victory in 2024 before this historic 2026 triumph.
