The tournament hot favourites England, who until now had thrashed each and every side in this tournament were expected to dish out a similar treatment to Pakistan in the semifinal.
It all started to go pear-shaped for the home team when Pakistan bowling came into their own in a hot sunny day at Cardiff on a dry surface. First the bowlers and then the Pakistani batsmen led by attacking opener Fakhar Zaman put on a show and hammered the hosts out of the tournament.
After such a huge upset, many England fans along with experts were made to eat a humble pie as twitter left no stone unturned in trolling England and praising Pakistan on such an unexpected result.
