After a barren and rough 2016, Shikhar Dhawan has been going through a nice little phase of late. He has been striking the ball well, every ball is hitting the middle of the bat and numbers are speaking. After a sensational Champions Trophy 2017, Dhawan scored a couple of the fifties in West Indies in ODI series and started the Sri Lanka tour with a swashbuckling 190 in the first test at Galle.
It is his wife”s birthday and the left-handed opener left an emotional message for his better half on Instagram. Dhawan posted a photo with his wife and wrote: “Wishing my beautiful wife @aesha.dhawan5 very happy birthday.Wish was celebrating it together, I am always there with u hun.Miss u.”

Shikhar Dhawan”s wife Ayesha is Anglo Indian with Indian dad and English mom from Melbourne. She is a trained kickboxer and sports addict. She was earlier married to an Australian businessman and has two daughters from her previous marriage.
Their love story is quite an interesting one. It all started when Dhawan sent a friend request to Aayesha on Facebook. Aayesha accepted seeing Harbhajan Singh as their mutual friend. The two started chatting and developed a friendship.
Aayesha is 10 years older than Shikhar. It is not palatable in traditional Indian society. They waited till 2012 to tie the knot as Shikhar wanted to focus on his cricket career first. The marriage has proven fruitful for Shikhar in cricket as he established himself in Indian team as top order batsman.
