Dinesh Karthik Excited To See This Punjab Kings Youngster In IPL 2021

Tamil Nadu and Kolkata Knight Riders player Dinesh Karthik is all set and geared up for a new season. An experienced player in the KKR setup, he is aiming to help KKR win their third IPL title. KKE will be playing their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11 in Chennai. Ahead of that game, he is excited to see one of his Tamil Nadu teammates who is expected to get his maiden IPL cap for Punjab Kings a day later KKR plays their first game.

Dinesh Karthik is excited to see his Shahrukh Khan turn up for Punjab Kings. The 2014 finalists shelled him in for a huge sum of Rs 5.25 crore for the uncapped player.

As per Karthik, he is very excited to see him in his maiden IPL season. Shahrukh has played 31 T20s. He has scored 293 runs and scalped 2 wickets in the shortest format. He has also donned 25 List A and 5 first-class caps.

In an interactive session on Twitter with the hashtag #Ask DK one of the IPL fans asked him which TN cricketer is he looking forward to in IPL 2021.

“I’ll be very excited to see how Shahrukh Khan plays this year, he’s got a good opportunity with @PunjabKingsIPL and I’m looking forward to see him grow as a cricketer,” Karthik wrote on Twitter.

Dinesh Karthik will turn up for his fourth year with KKR having joined them in 2018. he led them to the playoffs in 2018 scoring over 400 runs in the season. In the next two seasons, KKR finished fifth twice having lost the playoffs berth both times.

KKR kick off their IPL 2021 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11. They play 3 fixtures in Chennai before moving to Mumbai for the next 2 matches. KKR will fly to Ahmedabad in the final week of April for 4 matches. Their final stoppage will be Bengaluru, where they play 5 fixtures.
