Test specialist batsman of Indian cricket team Cheteshwar Pujara is witnessing a downfall in his career. Pujara failed to contribute runs once again for India in the first Test match against England at Trent Bridge Nottingham. He has been out of form for quite some time now. Also, skipper Virat Kohli was expected to deliver good performance but he failed to contribute big runs for the team and got out on duck.
India faced England in the opening match of the 5-match Test series. Although India lost the toss still did a great job while bowling first. India was able to bowl out England at the score of just 183. Jasprit Bumrah who looked out of form in the WTC final picked a 4 wicket haul. Also, Mohammed Shami was able to bag a 3-wicket haul in his name. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur picked 2 wickets and Mohammad Siraj got 1 wicket.

While batting in the second innings Indian openers did a sensational job. They managed to build a 97 runs partnership in English batting conditions against a good bowling unit. However, just before lunch, Rohit Sharma was departed by Ollie Robinson at a score of 36. Meanwhile, after that India lost two of the best batter of the Test batting unit.
Cheteshwar Pujara came to bat at the number 3 after a poor form in the first WTC cycle. However, things didn’t change in the opening series of the second WTC event as he got out at the scores of just 4 off 16 balls. Anderson was the one who was responsible for sending Pujara back to the pavilion quickly.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli got out on duck in the marquee Test match. The biggest rival of Kohli in Test cricket, James Anderson was able to win the battle this time.
Here is how Twitter reacted to a poor show by Indian captain Kohli and Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara

One stark difference between Pujara and Dravid is that Puji is not the best player of swing bowling; though he's probably better against pace and bounce.

I want to criticise Pujara but he doesn't care about them.

29th duck in Int'ls for Kohli (Tests 13, ODIs 13, T20Is 3). Kohli's Test average since 01st Jan 2020 is 23.00 (15 inns, 345 runs). Kohli has not scored an Int'l 100 in his last 47 inns, last Int'l century was v Bangladesh in India on 23rd Nov 2019. Massively Over-rated. #Cricket
