England’s Ollie Robinson, India’s Mohammed Siraj, and New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson are three emerging fast bowlers in world cricket. However former Pakistan captain Salman Butt feels Robinson is not as good as Siraj or Jamieson.
Notably, Ollie Robinson made his debut at Lord’s and picked 7 wickets in the first match itself. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj has already bagged a 5-wicket haul at Gabba and a 4-wicket hauls at Lord’s. Meanwhile, Kyle Jamieson was awarded player of the match in the first-ever World Test Championship final. Overall these three bowlers are filled with exceptional talent.
In his YouTube video, Salman Butt discussed all three pacers. He opined that all three of them are good but Robinson is not in the same league as Siraj and Jamieson. He reasoned that Robinson will only be successful in England as the surface in England provides swing to the bowlers.
Also, he said Robinson doesn’t have enough pace to perform amazingly in India or Australia. Former Pakistan cricketer asserted:
“All three are talented pacers but I don’t feel Robinson is in the same league as Jamieson and Siraj. If he comes to India or goes to Australia for The Ashes, he might not be as effective. He doesn’t have that pace and is likely to struggle with the Kookaburra ball. In English conditions, he is effective because the ball moves around but otherwise I don’t think he will be a threat.”
Salman Butt further added that Ollie Robinson ‘doesn’t fit’ in comparison with Kyle Jamieson and Mohammed Siraj, whom he considers fantastic as fast bowlers. Salman Butt stated:
“Robinson doesn’t fit into the comparison, according to me. The other two are very good bowlers. Jamieson is an outstanding pacer and Siraj is someone who is going to be very useful for India going ahead,” Butt concluded.

India go 1-0 up in the five-match Test series
Meanwhile after many verbal banters, sledging and heated encounters India clinched a victory in Lord’s Test. Notably, teams entered Day 5 with all three results possible. However with Bumrah and Shami’s incredible 89 partnership and then India’s sensational bowling, Virat Kohli-led side won at Lord’s by a huge margin of 151 runs by bowling out England under 55 overs.
