The adrenalin seems to be pumping for both the teams with India and England getting the third Test underway. India have lost three wickets inside the first hour with skipper Virat Kohli falling to James Anderson once again in the series. Meanwhile, in the build-up to the toss former captains Sunil Gavaskar and Nasser Hussain had a go at each other.
Sunil Gavaskar asked Nasser Hussain about what did he mean when he said that the current Indian team is not afraid of getting bullied. The same thing Hussain also wrote about in his column for the Daily Mail.
Sunil Gavakar-Nasser Hussain Engage In War Of Words
“You said this India will not be bullied as perhaps the previous generations would be. (I) Belonging to previous generation, could you perhaps enlighten which generation? And what is the exact meaning of bully?” Gavaskar asked Hussain.
“I just think, the Indian side under the aggression of the past, would have said ‘no no no’. But what Kohli has done is to make them go doubly hard. I saw a little bit of that in Sourav Ganguly’s side and he started that, Virat is continuing with it. Even when Virat was not there, Ajinkya really went hard at the Australians. I just don’t think you want to wake this Indian side up,” Hussain replied.
The banter further continued and seemed to get beyond control. That was when Harsha Bhogle stepped in. He asked Nasser to leave the conversation as he was late going for the toss.
Meanwhile, James Anderson Dismissed Virat Kohli for the seventh time in international cricket. In a brilliant opening spell, he dismissed Rahul, Pujara and Kohli to leave India reeling after winning the toss. Meanwhile, this was the first time Kohli won the toss in the series so far.
