Lord’s will host the second Test match between England and India between July 12-16. Rain played spoilsport on the final day of the first Test denying India a chance to go ahead in the series. England, on the other hand, would consider themselves lucky to avoid a defeat. It is back to square one for both teams as they look for a restart at Lord’s. India last won a test match at Lord’s back in2014 as Ishant Sharma delivered a splendid spell.

KL Rahul top-scored with an 84 for India in the first innings. Virat Kohli was out for a first-ball duck which grabbed a lot of eyeballs. He was dismissed identically by James Anderson who troubled him outside the off-stump back in 2014 as well. Pujara and Rahane were dismissed cheaply as well.
Jasprit Bumrah picked up nine wickets with the ball and scored 28 crucial runs with the bat as well. A win at Lord’s will be England’s 50th Test win against the visitors in the format. India have won 30 matches out of 127 total played.
