Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and captain Virat Kohli is in the news heading into the fourth Test at The Oval. The Test match starts from Thursday with India needing to pull things back to win the series. The coach and the captain have a lot on their plate as team selection for the next Test is a point of debate. The inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin is among the most-discussed topic at the moment.
Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri had an interaction with Times Now ahead of the fourth Test. Shastri spoke to Times Now anchor Navika Kumar in a special segment within her show The Newshour @9. Along with hosting the show, Navika Kumar is also Times Network’s Group Editor.
In the interaction, Navika asked Shastri about his future with the Indian team. In a reaction to her question, Shastri said that he is looking forward to the next 45 days and not beyond that.
“I am looking forward to the next 45 days. I am not thinking of anything else. Let me focus on that and when the time comes, everyone will get to know where Shastri Ji is heading to next,” said the India head coach.

In the meantime, as the interview went ahead, Ravi Shastri called in Virat Kohli referring to him as ” He’s the Boy” when asked about his relationship with Virat. That was when Virat came in and said a quick hi to her and went away.
Meanwhile, the Indian team is under extreme pressure to correct their mistakes at The Oval which they made at Headingley. The Indian batting line-up will be the point of focus. Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara’s inclusion in the playing XI is questionable after their performances so far in the series.

Prasidh Krishna has been added to the Indian team ahead of the next Test as a tactical move from the management. There is also a possibility of Wriddhiman Saha replacing Rishabh Pant in the playing XI.
