England cricketer Matt Parkinson is currently on cloud nine after his international debut during the first ODI against South Africa. However, he faced the wrath of Indian fans after old tweets of him criticising India legends MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli went viral on various social media platforms.
As he looks to get a foothold in the international circuit, his wrongdoing from the past has landed Matt Parkinson in hot waters. He had posted a number of derogatory tweets, mocking several Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli as well as Ravindra Jadeja. The leg-spinner came under the scanner as soon as the fans came across all those old tweets.

Although, the Englishman managed to delete some of his tweets on Kohli and Dhoni, but the damage was done by then. The fans and followers took screenshots of those tweets where he criticised Indian cricketers and posted it on social media leaving Matt Parkinson in deep trouble. The screenshot proves that Parkinson had questioned Ravindra Jadeja's batting skills while in one of his tweets, he called Virat Kohli arrogant.
Meanwhile, Matt Parkinson had an average international debut returning with figures of none for 48 in 8.4 overs. While he starred in the warm-up games scalping three wickets but went wicketless during the first ODI. With England having struggled to produce quality leg-spinners barring Adil Rashid, Parkinson has a tough time ahead of him.
