The renowned fast bowler James Anderson will stay on as the England men’s team’s bowling consultant during the tours of Pakistan and New Zealand later in the year. Following the Lord’s Test against the West Indies earlier this year, Anderson—who now holds the record for being the only fast bowler with 700 Test wickets—retired from international cricket.
He brought his extensive experience to the role of bowling mentor when he joined the England team after retiring. The team’s bowlers would greatly benefit from Anderson’s ongoing participation in terms of advice and assistance, especially during the demanding visits to Pakistan and New Zealand.
The next generation of fast bowlers in England will benefit greatly from his presence as he shapes the team’s bowling plan and develops their skills. In order for the team to succeed in the next tours, Anderson’s involvement will be essential.

James Anderson, a former fast bowler, has announced that he will continue to serve as the England men’s team’s bowling consultant during their upcoming tours of Pakistan and New Zealand.
He has stated that he does not want to look far into future because he is still getting familiar with coaching styles. Before England Third Test match against Sri Lanka at Kennington Oval in London, Anderson talked about his extension.
“At the minute, I’m due to go to Pakistan and New Zealand in the winter. Then nothing concrete after that,” Anderson was quoted as saying to Sky Sports.
“I’m very new to this, I’m still learning as we go. It’s partly me trying to figure out if this is where I want to go with the next stage of my career and also for them to figure out if I’m any good at it as well,” Anderson added.
