The 58th edition of the prestigious Duleep Trophy marks the beginning of this year”s domestic season. This year the tournament starts on the 17th of August.
Three years ago the tournament was played among 5 teams, (North Zone, South Zone, West Zone, East Zone and Central Zone) and since then the format has been revamped.
The 2016-17 edition onwards saw three teams (India Red, India Blue and India Green) playing a round-robin format to reach the final. This year the format is no different.

All league matches will be 4-day games played with the red ball in the day. The final of the tournament will be a 5-Day game played with the pink ball making it a day/night game.
