Father of Team India all-rounder duo Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya has passed away in Baroda due to a cardiac arrest. Himanshu Pandya, father of Hardik and Krunal was instrumental in making them a cricketer and sacrificed all his life to provide his sons with cricketing gears.

Himanshu Pandya left his business in Surat to move to Vadodara to provide his sons with better cricketing facilities. They had to face a lot of hardships during that period and the father of Pandya’s brothers never discourage his son to leave cricket and instead pushed them to concentrate more on the game.

Father of Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya passes away

Pandya brothers’ father passed away after cardiac arrest, and could not be revived even after rushing to the hospital. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya was with his father during the last few days as he had no cricket commitments while Krunal Pandya was leading the Baroda side in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The ace all-rounder has left the bio-bubble to be with his family in these difficult times. As a result, he will not take any further part in the domestic T20 competition, a report in ANI confirmed.

“Yes, Krunal Pandya has left the bubble. It is a personal tragedy, Baroda Cricket Association mourns this loss of Hardik and Krunal,” Baroda Cricket Association CEO Shishir Hattangadi told ANI.

The skipper of the Baroda side, Krunal Pandya participated in three matches scalping four wickets. He also managed to score 76 runs for Baroda. Baroda has so far won all its three matches in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The side is at the top of Elite Group C.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has resumed training at home considering the upcoming England series in view which is scheduled to commence in February.
