Inzamam-Ul-Haq underwent an angioplasty on Monday (September 27) after suffering a heart attack. As per recent reports he stable condition in a multi-specialty hospital. Inzamam had complained of chest pain recently following which the angioplasty was performed. His manager said that a stent has been placed in his heart.
The cricket fraternity reacted to this sudden news on Inzamam-Ul-Haq and Harsha Bhogle was one of the first few people to react to this. “Wishing Inzamam-ul-Haq all the very best, that he recovers completely and remains part of our game for many many years” said the veteran Indian commentator.

Prayers are coming in from all corners regarding the speedy recovery of Inzamam U Haq. He is one of the most respected figures of Pakistan cricket and has worked closely with the team to improve the standard of Pakistan cricket.
Inzamam-ul-Haq was a part of Pakistan’s World Cup winning squad in 1992
The former Pakistan skipper made his international debut back in 1992 and was a member of Pakistan’s World Cup-winning squad under Imran Khan. Inzamam remains the country’s highest run-getter in Test and ODI cricket.
In 120 Tests, he went on to score 8830 runs at an average of 49.60 with 25 centuries and 46 half-centuries. In ODI cricket, the right-hander scored 11,739 runs from 378 games with 10 tons and as many as 83 fifties.
After scoring over 20000 runs in international cricket, he ultimately retired in 2007. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as the chief selector in the Pakistan Cricket Board. Inzamam also went on to become the head coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team.
