MS Dhoni is also a human – Gautam Gambhir

The young pacer learned quickly and bowled CSK to victory. A few days later, Dhoni marched back to the crease arguing with the umpire regarding a no-ball query. Though umpires were on the wrong end of things, it was surprising for analysts and fans to see Dhoni marching back to the middle.

“People say that they have never seen MS Dhoni lose his cool, but I have on a couple of times. It was during the 2007 World Cup and in other World Cups when we haven’t done well. He’s human and he’s bound to react as well. It’s absolutely fair enough to do that,” Gambhir was quoted as saying on Star Sports show Cricket Connected.

But Gambhir accepted that he isn’t as calm as Dhoni. “Even at CSK, if there’s a misfield or if someone has dropped a catch. Yes, he’s cool, he’s probably much cooler than the rest of the other captains. Much cooler than me for sure!” he added.

On the work front, MS Dhoni took sabbatical leave following 2019 world cup semifinal loss against New Zealand. He was all set to make a comeback for Indian Premier League 2020 but unfortunately, the tournament postponed due to COVID-19.
