In their Ranji Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh, Goa batsmen Snehal Kauthankar and Kashyap Bakle created history. Bakle scored 300* off 269 balls, while Kauthankar hammered 314* off 205 balls. According to Indians, these are the second and third fastest First-Class triple hundreds. With 43 fours and four sixes, Kauthankar easily exceeded his previous high of 250.
Given that Kauthankar achieved his first triple hundred in just 205 balls, his accomplishment is all the more remarkable. Goa is in an excellent position to defeat Arunachal Pradesh thanks to his and Bakle’s relationship. Tanmay Agarwal of Hyderabad, who amassed a triple hundred in just 147 deliveries, delivered a similar assault on Arunachal last year.
Kauthankar has won a spot in the record books for his innings that broke all previous records. After Tanmay Agarwal and Marco Marais, he is currently ranked third on the all-time First Class list. Kauthankar’s accomplishment is evidence of his talent and commitment to the game.
