Google India has extended its best wishes to the Indian cricket team for the 2025 Champions Trophy. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company added a Bollywood touch by featuring a scene from Karan Johar’s classic film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
The image showcases veteran actress Jaya Bachchan in a still from the movie. The search bar in the picture reads ‘India Champions Trophy wins’, while the search result highlights that the Men in Blue hold the record for the most final appearances in the tournament’s history, securing victories in 2013 and 2002.
“Wishing the best for Team India. Keh diya na, bas keh diya 😌💙 Picture Credits: @DharmaMovies,” the post is captioned.
Above Jaya Bachchan’s image, the text reads ‘Me waiting again, 12 years later,’ referring to India’s 2013 Champions Trophy win and fans’ anticipation for another victory in 2025. In 2013, MS Dhoni-led India triumphed over England in a tense, low-scoring final. However, their title defense in 2017 fell short as they lost to arch-rivals Pakistan in the final.
