Following years of dedication and relentless effort, Rinku Singh has achieved his maiden chance to represent India in the forthcoming Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.

Following an impressive performance with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku aims to make an impact while playing for the Indian team in the Asian Games.

During a recent interview, Rinku shared insights on various topics, including his cricketing idol. The 25-year-old disclosed that he has always admired former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina.

Rinku Singh had an exceptional IPL season, scoring 474 runs for his team

Rinku mentioned that he maintains regular contact with Raina, who, being hailed as the ‘IPL King,’ provides valuable guidance to enhance his game.

Additionally, Rinku expressed gratitude towards former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh for his support.

“Suresh Raina has been my role model. We stay in constant touch, and he generously shares his insights with me. He has played a significant role in shaping my career.”

“Bhajju pa (Harbhajan Singh) has also been instrumental in my development. I am thankful for their support, and when such renowned players acknowledge you, it serves as a great motivation to push oneself further,” Rinku revealed in an interview with RevSportz.

Rinku had a breakthrough season in the IPL, amassing 474 runs for his team, despite the overall disappointment of their campaign.

The Indian men’s senior cricket team will make its debut in the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games in China later this year.
