I told him, ‘Tu bhi thodi trophy pakad le (you also hold the trophy for a while), for two minutes. We should take a picture together because this journey has been very long,” Kohli said.

The victory in the T20 World Cup led to the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from one format of international cricket: Twenty20 international cricket. Both the batting partners had a very long-standing partnership but they, unfortunately, could not clinch a World Cup title. The two finally captured a World Cup trophy during the just-concluded 2024 T20 World Cup finals against South Africa.
