Darcy Short made his mark in the Big Bash League 2016 for Hobart Hurricanes in Australia.  In this year’s Big Bash League, he scored the highest individual score of 122 in Big Bash history. He also played for Australia in T20I format scoring 196 runs from 5 matches with a strike rate of 149.61. Because of his exploits in T20 format, Rajasthan Royals bought him at price money INR 4 Crores.

He got initial chances and dropped due poor form to come back again with no improvement. He scored just 115 runs from 7 matches with an average of 16.42, with the best score of 44.
