KL Rahul would be my back-up opener because of his consistent performance for Kings XI Punjab in this year’s IPL so far. He is currently playing against Mumbai Indians at Mumbai and would be looking to keep providing performances for Kings XI Punjab.

He has been not a consistent performer for Team India in ODIs. If he is given a chance in the playing XI, Rahul would be eager to prove his credentials.
