The series against the Proteas has almost come to an end as the hosts wrapped up the three-match Test series 2-0 with a game to go. A complete team effort from the Indian side led by a fantastic double century from Virat Kohli helped the side finish the formalities at Pune.

India is now placed at the top of the ICC Test Championship table with 200 points. The last game will be played at Ranchi starting the 19th of this month. With this victory, India has also registered its 11th consecutive Test series victory on the home soil. Since the loss against England in 2012, the Indian side has been exhibiting its prowess on a different level at the home grounds.

The focus now almost shifts towards the Bangladesh series scheduled right after the third test. The visitors will be here for a three-match T20I series followed by a couple of Tests. A lot of confusion still exists in the tiger”s camp after their dismal performances in recent times. Shakib”s captaincy, the middle order issues, and several other problems need to be addressed in a few week”s time. However, the answers for the same will be out once the squads are announced in a few days” time.

Similarly, there hasn”t been clarity on the availability of MS Dhoni for the T20i series. A lot of sources suggest that he has made himself unavailable yet again but we have to wait for the official confirmation though.
