MS Dhoni has always remained calm and composed in his illustrious career. Very rarely have we seen that emotions have got the better of Dhoni when he is on the field. Dinesh Karthik has played a lot of cricket with former India skipper since 2003. Both wicket-keeper batsmen have come a long way in their respective careers.
Karthik still believes that Dhoni is the same person that he was when they first played for India A in 2003-2004. He gave an insight into how Dhoni has always been chilled out and relaxed how people see him on television. The only difference that Dinesh Karthik has spotted in MS Dhoni is the fact that his black hair has turned white during his career.
MS Dhoni has been the same person: Dinesh Karthik
“In 2003 or 2004, when I went for my first A tour with him, he was pretty much an easy-going, chilled, relaxed character. The only difference is that there’s a lot more white hair no now, but inside, he’s pretty calm. I haven’t seen him get angry that often or I haven’t seen him express his anger explicitly too often. So he’s been pretty much the same”, said Karthik on Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’.
MS Dhoni has a lot of time stated that the pressure of captaining the India side has led to him having more white hair. The former India captain last played a match in the world cup semis against New Zealand last year. Recently New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson too appreciated Dhoni’s demeanour on the field and called him a ‘special individual’.
“He seems to remember what is important and not get too caught up with some of those things that may be distracting, very focused on what’s important, but a very special individual”, said Williamson about Dhoni.
