The Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav in an interview with India Today, has full faith in his team’s pace duo of Arshdeep and Jasprit Bumrah to clinch the T20 World Cup final in the last overs.
He said he carried with him confidence that they could come out as winners in the Twenty20 World Cup final, more so in the last overs. This claim resonates with the fact that the team has relied so much on their quick bowlers to deliver those overs and possibly influence the climax of the match.
“Somewhere back in my mind, I knew we had Jasprit Bumrah 2 overs and Arshdeep 1 over left, and they were in top form throughout the tournament, as we saw bowling them in the World Cup. I had the belief that these two guys could turn the game towards India, and that’s what happened. I am very happy for both of them,” Suryakumar Yadav in an exclusive interview with India Today.
India defeated South Africa, captained by Aiden Markram, in the decisive T20 World Cup final on June 29 in Barbados, which proved to be a thrilling match that broke their 11-year trophy drought.
