Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has chosen Ravi Bishnoi as his favourite amongst the upcoming crop of talented spinners. Bishnoi was the pick of bowlers for Punjab Kings this season as he grabbed 12 wickets in nine matches at an impressive economy of 6.34.
Rashid revealed that he had a discussion with Ravi Bishnoi during the IPL 2020 about the importance of line and length while bowling. He said that Ravi worked hard on those aspects and came to this season as an improved bowler.
“We met this year at the IPL as well and he[Bishnoi] told me straight away: “I have worked on those things you told me and it is helping a lot,” said Rashid.

Rashid added that the PBKS leggie is passionate about his craft and that would benefit him as a spinner. “I love the energy he bowls with. It’s something that gives you confidence,” said Rashid while speaking to ESPNcricinfo.
Ravi Bishnoi received a lot of praise in the recently concluded IPL season when he deceived CSK skipper MS Dhoni with his googly during their last league match. With a world-class spinner like Rashid Khan complementing him, the youngster would definitely gain a lot of confidence. Bishnoi’s next aim will be to sport the blue jersey for the Indian team.
