Yash Dayal, a pacer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), thanked the team for keeping him for the 2025 Indian Premier League. On October 31, it was announced that Dayal would be joining the team.
Dayal is one of RCB’s three retained players for the forthcoming season, along with Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli. Dayal was ecstatic by the choice and thanked the franchise on social media for their continuous belief in him.
Dayal’s morale is raised by this retention, which enables him to keep helping RCB win with renowned colleagues Patidar and Kohli. The three will be the backbone of RCB’s team as they go for the 2025 IPL.
“I am ready to give my 100 percent”- Yash Dayal
The young bowler Yash Dayal reflected on the choice, expressing gratitude to RCB for supporting him through difficult times and remembering his memorable IPL 2023 performance against Chennai Super Kings. Dayal wants to give it his all the next season because the team believes in him.
“I would like to thank RCB for showing faith in me and for retaining me. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to play for. RCB believed in me even in my lowest moments. That is very special for me. I sincerely thank RCB fans for accepting me and getting behind me.” Dayal said in a video message shared by RCB on social media.
“The game against CSK still feels like yesterday. I am ready to give my 100 percent on and off the field. I am hoping that I can also perform like that. Good luck, RCB, at the mega auction,” Dayal added.
Yash Dayal, who faced criticism for giving up five sixes on the bat of Rinku Singh in IPL 2023, was picked up by RCB for a whopping Rs 5 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. In a do-or-die encounter against CSK when the stakes were high, Dayal’s life came a full circle as he was whacked for a 110 meter six by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He then also got the better of Dhoni in the end, just conceding 7 runs in the last over and leading RCB to an unbelievable win.
