ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: [WATCH]- Almost 100,000 Individuals Sing ‘Vande Mataram’ At Narendra Modi Stadium After IND vs PAK Match

After India‘s victory over Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, nearly 100,000 spectators enthusiastically sang ‘Vande Mataram.’ The stadium’s in-house DJ played the Indian national song, prompting almost everyone in attendance to join in.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni once shared that he rarely gets goosebumps, but he felt something akin to it when fans at the Wankhede Stadium sang ‘Vande Mataram’ during the 2011 World Cup final. India maintained its dominance over Pakistan by securing a 7-wicket victory, with Rohit Sharma leading the way. Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India achieved its eighth World Cup win against Pakistan.

On October 14, spectators and players at the Narendra Modi Stadium were filled with excitement when the Indian national anthem played. TV viewers also cherished the moment.

Although the stadium was filled to capacity for most of the India vs. Pakistan match, a handful of fans left early once they realized that India would secure victory. However, the majority of fans remained until the last ball and had an unforgettable experience.

India’s next 2023 World Cup match is against Bangladesh on Thursday

India’s fourth match in the 2023 World Cup will be against Bangladesh at Pune’s MCA Stadium on Thursday. The Indian team is currently unbeaten in the tournament, having secured victories in their initial three matches against Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Despite Bangladesh having defeated India in ODI World Cups in the past, they have not yet managed to beat the Indian team on Indian soil. Therefore, India is the expected favorite for the upcoming match.

In contrast, Pakistan faced their initial loss in the tournament. The Pakistani team will travel to Bengaluru for their upcoming match against the five-time champions, Australia, on October 20.
