During the 2023 World Cup game between Australia and Afghanistan at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on November 7, a heated argument unfolded between David Warner and Rashid Khan.

This happened in the fifth over of Australia’s innings after a verbal exchange between Azmatullah Omarzai and Mitchell Marsh. Rashid got involved in a conversation with Warner while he was speaking with Marsh.

Notably, Warner and Rashid were on the same team, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2017 to 2021. You can watch the video here:

Rashid Khan’s effort helped Afghanistan achieve a total of 291/5 against Australia

A highly efficient batting display from Ibrahim Zadran, along with Rashid Khan’s impactful contribution, allowed Afghanistan to reach a total of 291/5 in their allotted 50 overs.

Zadran played a stellar innings, remaining unbeaten with 129 runs from 143 balls, which included three sixes and eight boundaries.

Rashid Khan provided a late boost with 35 runs from 18 deliveries, featuring three sixes and two fours. Together, they formed an unbeaten partnership of 59 runs for the sixth wicket.
