The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the attire that the team will don during the forthcoming 2023 ODI World Cup, which is slated to occur in India between October 5 and November 19. Through a social media update posted by the PCB on platform X (formerly referred to as Twitter), the jersey of Pakistan is showcased, featuring not only the official emblem of the tournament but also the PCB insignia and the national flag.

Noteworthy alterations encompass the incorporation of two pale green bands displaying the logo of the primary sponsor on the sleeve. The post displays images of Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and Naseem Shah, as well as female cricketers such as captain Nida Dar, donning a fresh Pakistani jersey.

In an official statement issued by the PCB: β€œThe Star Nation Jersey signifies more than a mere piece of apparel; it embodies the profound connection between Pakistan’s cricketing heroes and their steadfast supporters.”

It added: “Drawing inspiration from celestial bodies, each star symbolizes brilliance, aspiration, and the radiant glow of cricketing achievements. This design philosophy encapsulates the spirit of cricketing excellence, resonating deeply with every Pakistani cricket enthusiast.”

Pakistan’s journey in the ODI World Cup will commence against the Netherlands on Friday, October 6, at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The Pakistani team will then encounter their arch-rivals, India, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, October 14.

Babar Azam and his team aspire to secure their second ODI World Cup victory, with their previous championship title achieved under Imran Khan’s leadership in 1992.
