Bangladesh are tightening their grip on West Indies at the moment in Sharjah. Its is a must-win game for both teams and Bangladesh are keeping their nerves in the contest. West Indies are yet to reach the 100-mark with their innings nearing the death overs. Andre Russell was the latest wicket to go after Kieron Pollard retired himself after not being able to get on with his innings.
A lot of drama unfolded in the 13th over of the innings. First Windies skipper Pollard decided to retire hurt himself after three balls of the 13th over. On the very next ball, Taskin Ahmed got a touch from a straight drive from Roston Chase as it hit the stumps with Russell backing up too far.

In a moment, Windies virtually lost a couple of wickets with their batsmen struggling to get runs. Their batters have let them down so far in the World Cup and today was another example of the same. Pollard in the first two games reiterated to the same point and said that their batsmen need to take the blame for their performances so far.
“We don’t have anyone else to blame, but ourselves. The clarity has been there but the team hasn’t batted well. This is the perfect opportunity to put it right. Two changes, Simmons misses out, Roston Chase makes his international T20 debut. Hayden Walsh makes way for Jason Holder. Gayle will be opening. Universe Boss has over 13000 runs opening the batting. It’s not just about one individual, the team has to come good” said Pollard at the toss.
