Virat Kohli’s negative form with the bat persisted for the duration of the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final match among India and England on the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27. He was dismissed for a run-a-ball nine
Kohli has been struggling during this event, and his lack of confidence was obvious in the course of his brief time at the crease. He appeared uneasy before being bowled by using Reece Topley in the 3rd over .
Despite his aggressive approach from the start, Kohli couldn’t find the right timing. After several mishits, he finally connected well to hit Topley over the mid-wicket region. However, the left-arm pacer quickly recovered, dismissing Kohli a couple of balls later to secure England’s first wicket.
The ball was delivered on a good length and moved slightly back towards Kohli. Staying on the leg side, he attempted to hit it over mid-wicket.
However, he was deceived by the movement, and the ball clipped the top of the leg stump, ending Kohli’s innings. Kohli was visibly frustrated and disappointed as he walked back to the dressing room.
