Rohit Sharma is the only player left from the 2007 edition of T20 World Cup. He will be playing his ninth edition of this tournament. Rohit came into the limelight during the 2007 edition of the T20 World Cup with a match-winning knock of 52 not out against South Africa that dumped them out of the tournament.

During the finals against Pakistan, Rohit Sharma played a cameo with 30 not out off 16 deliveries that helped India to post a competitive total that proved enough for India to win the 2007 edition of the World Cup.
