Despite a humiliating defeat against Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup opener, Team India mentor MS Dhoni was seen talking to Pakistan cricketers which won hearts on social media. Chasing 152 runs set by Virat Kohli & Co, Pakistan rode on Mohammad Rizwan (79 not out off 55 balls) and Babar Azam’s (68 not out off 52 balls) unbeaten half-centuries to chase down the target with 13 balls to spare.
While the Pakistani players celebrated this historic victory, they all also took time to interact with their Indian counterparts after the match. Broadcaster’s visuals showed MS Dhoni speaking to some of the players after the game.
The former India captain talking to young cricketers is nothing new and the ritual continued even after the Pakistan game. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, young pacer Shahnawaz Dahani, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim were seen talking to MS Dhoni.
The visuals went viral in no time and fans took it to Twitter to applaud the gesture.

Pakistan outplayed us completely – Virat Kohli
Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Virat Kohli lauded the Pakistan players for putting up a better show on Sunday. He said:
“We didn’t execute properly. Credit where it’s due and Pakistan outplayed us today. They started brilliantly with the ball, and 3 wickets for 20 runs was not a good start. We needed wickets early but with the bat they gave us absolutely no chances. It played slow in the first half and hitting through the line was not that easy as it was in the second half, after 10 overs.”
