India Women Crush Pakistan by 64 Runs in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
India Women registered a commanding 64-run victory over Pakistan Women in Match 6 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on June 14. After being asked to bat first, India recovered from early setbacks through a crucial 91-run partnership between vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.
Mandhana starred with 68 runs off 44 balls, striking nine fours and two sixes, while Harmanpreet contributed 36. Richa Ghosh then provided a late flourish with a quickfire 34 off 17 deliveries, helping India post 170/6 in their 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan struggled to keep up with the required rate despite opener Muneeba Ali’s fighting 41 off 35 balls.
The rest of the batting lineup failed to make a significant impact as Pakistan were bowled out for 106 in 17 overs. Deepti Sharma produced a career-best T20I spell of 5/10, while Shree Charani claimed 3/21, sealing a dominant win for the Women in Blue.
India Women’s next match in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is against the Netherlands women’s national cricket team on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Headingley, Leeds. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM IST (2:30 PM local time).
