Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are facing each other at Eden Gardens in the Eliminator of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team losing the game will bow out of IPL 2022.
After being invited to bat first, Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis walked out to bat for the Royal Challengers. However, the RCB captain was dismissed on a golden duck in the first over.
However, on the first ball of the next over, Virat Kohli hit a beautiful boundary on the first ball of the second over. Dusmantha Chameera bowled the full ball drifting onto the pads of Virat. The RCB star was quick with his reflexes and played a beautiful flick shot for a boundary.

Jay Shah too clapped after this beautiful shot of the former Indian captain. Virat Kohli ended his innings after scoring 25 runs.

“I just tried to time the ball well” – Rajat Patidar reveals his mantra
The trio of RCB – Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell failed to create an impact in this Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants. Mahipal Lomror too couldn’t score much. But Rajat Patidar played a blinder of knock. The Madhya Pradesh cricketer scored an unbeaten 112 runs in 54 balls. Dinesh Karthik too played an impactful knock of 37 runs in 23 balls to take RCB to a total of 207 runs.
Rajat Patidar looked delighted with his knock. Speaking at the mid-innings break, he said, “Feels good that we have posted such a good total on a good pitch. It won’t be that easy to defend this total, but if we bowl well, we do have a chance to win this game. I just tried to time the ball well and place it in the gaps. I wasn’t looking forward to getting my century, but I was trying to get as many runs as possible.”
