Australia has bounced back from their loss against New Zealand by winning their second game against Sri Lanka today at Perth. They won the match by seven wickets and 21 wickets due to the half-century scored by Marcus Stoinis.
Stoinis came into bat after the dismissal of Glenn Maxwell at 89-3 and then just carried his team home. He scored 59 runs in 18 balls, striking at 327.78, which included four fours and six maximums. He didn’t spare any of the bowlers who bowled to him.
Marcus Stoinis was clearing the bowl across the significant boundaries of Perth cleanly and seemed as if he couldn’t do anything wrong.
Let’s look at some of the Twitter reactions to this fifty by Stoinis:

Australia bounce back thanks to Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 50
Sri Lanka scored 157-6 due to the strong finish by Charith Asalanka and Chamika Karunaratne, who allowed the bowlers to defend a modest total. The standout bowlers were Aston Agar and Mitchell Starc, who picked up a wicket each and gave runs at an economy of 6.2 and 5.8, respectively.
Australia, who had a slow start and were at 38-1 at the end of the 7th over, decided to step on the pedal. Cameos from Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell set the platform for Stoinis, who helped the defending champions across the line. Aaron Finch remained not out at the end of the innings.
Lahiru Kumara and Chamika Karunaratne stood out among the Sri Lankan bowlers. The former went wicketless but bowled the correct length, making it difficult for batters to play, whereas the latter picked up a wicket.
Australia has gotten 2 points on the table and will face arch-rivals England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday. On Saturday, Sri Lanka will be in action against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
