Rohit Sharma – Ravindra Jadeja’s partnership rebuilds India’s innings
Team India managed to recover from their early mini-collapse on the back of Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja’s partnership. They helped India to get to 237 before the Indian captain’s dismissal. Ravindra Jadeja is also approaching his century in the match. Debutant Sarfaraz Khan joined the all-rounder at the crease, with Dhruv Jurel to follow.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill bagged a nine-ball duck earlier in the innings. He was dismissed by Mark Wood. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a run-a-ball 10, while Rajat Patidar scored five runs. India has made three changes to their playing XI. Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan and Mohammed Siraj have replaced KS Bharat, Shreyas Iyer and Mukesh Kumar.
