Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja feels that England’s ‘Bazball’ approach is not difficult to beat ahead of the third Test which is set to kick off on Thursday, February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium in Rajkot. The five-match series is levelled 1-1 after the first two tests.
India has made a comeback in the series after losing the first Test at Hyderabad. They defeated England in the Visakhapatnam test match by 106 runs. Ravindra Jadeja expressed that England has a different ‘more attacking’ approach but not something that cannot be bested. Speaking on the eve of the third Test, Ravindra Jadeja said,
“It’s not difficult to beat England. It’s just that they play cricket differently, a bit more attacking. So it’s about getting used to that and making plans accordingly.”
Ravindra Jadeja was added to the Indian squad for the third Test match. He missed the second game due to a hamstring injury. He went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and has returned back to the team. Talking about his fitness, the all-rounder said,
“Body will return to rhythm after playing for one to two days.”
They are all ready: Ravindra Jadeja on India’s young brigade in the test squad
Team India has a relatively inexperienced and young squad for the third Test against England at Rajkot. Rajat Patidar just made his debut in the second Test of the series. Meanwhile, there are speculations of Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel making their international debuts in Rajkot. Talking about the young players in the team, Ravindra Jadeja said,
“All these new boys have been playing First-Class cricket regularly, pakke pakkaya players hai. Kabhi na kabhi ye time aana hi tha (They were all ready, India call-up was inevitable). Its good for them to start their career on home soil.”
