In the eighth match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, India (IND) will play Ireland (IRE), but there are still some unanswered doubts regarding the lineup that Rohit Sharma’s team will choose. There has been much discussion on the opening combination, with Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal vying for the position of second opener.
The only wicketkeeper position is being contested by Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant, and Shivam Dube’s position is still in the limelight.
This is Ireland’s opening match in the 2024 T20 World Cup. They have been playing well lately in the Twenty20 format, winning three of their past five games and losing two.
India will also be participating in their debut match of the T20 World Cup in 2024. India has only lost one of their last five games while winning four of them.

Who will win the match?
India is the overwhelming favorite to defeat Ireland in their opening match of the competition. In a match on June 1 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, they defeated Bangladesh by a score of sixty runs. They will undoubtedly have an advantage over Ireland because they are aware of the circumstances.
It has also been quite hard to score in New York, so it will be difficult for the relatively inexperienced Irish batters to record a significant total. Notably, in the venue’s opening match, Sri Lanka was bowled out for seventy-seven runs. In 16.2 overs, South Africa was able to chase the goal.
